San Francisco based Remind showcases how their leading education communication platform helps parents and educators provide a rich culture of learning and support for their students.

Documentary style videos do well for a bunch of reason. They help the viewer see past the digital interface of an application and picture it in the real world. They also allow the real life users to talk about all of the best features and support, verses having the client say these things about themselves which can often land flat. So having a ton of experience in doc work, and knowing this approach was what the folks at Remind were looking for, we knew we could deliver something great for them.

Our first step in making this whole thing happen was going to be finding the right school district to use as subjects. The folks at Remind had a few ideas so we set out early on interviewing groups of people about their experiences to center around those who were able to articulate them in a clear and compelling way. We spent a lot time on phone calls and skype sessions to finally land on the right district, schools, and teachers. We then coordinated with them in working through creating a schedule that utilized the school day as best as possible – interviewing teachers on their off-hours and planning periods and making sure we were in a variety of classrooms with students that showcased the many different learning environments they experience throughout the day.

Overall, it turned out to be a big win. Everyone in Terrell ISD were super helpful and ultimately gave Remind a great video to communicate what it is they do to prospective clients moving forward.
