No matter what the project is, it’s always fun getting to work with a brand that you enjoy shopping at multiple times per week, especially a place like Lowe’s.

Like a lot of other people, Lowe’s has been our place of zen. We walk around staring at things, dreaming up future DIY projects.  So getting to make a whole series of videos where Lowe’s teams up with homeowners, helping them learn the skills needed to do their own DIY projects… was pretty cool.

Lowe’s started The Upskill Project a year or so ago and has been traveling to cities across the country, spending about a month in each. They pick a handful of entry winners to receive $5,000, help from a designer, a crew from a local Lowe’s store, and a skilled Project Leader. The projects include some consulting, a store visit to show them around, and a day or two of work. We worked with Lowe’s to pick a few select participants to highlight in different cities to show the range of help Upskill brings to DIY’ers.
